Cheyenne, Here We Come!

Scott was selected to be part of a team to help with a new computer program for work. He was going to Cheyenne for a week for training and at the last minute invited the kids and I to go with him. I packed for all of us, threw everything in the Tahoe and we were off. Since Scott was on duty he has to stop at everyone that needs assistance. Wanting to stay together I would have to stop too, usually down the road aways at a rest area or a gas station. Needless to say, with four kids, it was a long trip. We got to the hotel Sunday night and just crashed. But Monday morning we were up early and ready to go. I wanted to have fun but needed to keep it cheap! First Stop: The Wyoming State Museum!
We were greeted by the nicest little old guy and told the admission would be free! Great, then he gave each of the kids a booklet with a scavenger hunt for them to do in the museum, even better! We had a great time and learned alot about this great state that we live in! The kids loved this discovery area! So fun! They each had to take a turn on the horse.
Nate in the saddle!
Giddy up Gage!
Ryan loved dressing up as a solider!
My cute pioneer girl! Jaydee Bodil is named after Bodil Mortensen. A pioneer girl that came across the plains in the Willie Handcart company without her family. She died from exposure while gathering firewood and is buried at Rocky Ridge. Jaydee is very proud of her namesake.
Gage and Nate building with the blocks!
My Indian Wannabes!
Trading the Merchandise!
The kids were SO excited when we came across the display about the Highway Patrol. They are so proud of their dad and what he does!

We were at the museum for over 3 1/2 hours and had a great time. So fun!
