Pig Out Week~Urie Elementary!

Urie Elementary loves to promote reading in their school. Every year they have "Pig Out" week where the kids are suppose to pig out on books. They have fun themes each day of the week and just have a lot of fun. This year to kick off pig out week we had a pig out party! I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted! We were too busy having fun! The kids invited 7 friends over so we had 10 kids in all. We made pigs, necklaces made out of buttons and beads, read books, and pigged out on chocolate chip cookies! The kids read like crazy! At the end of the week Jaydee had read 109 books and Ryan read for triple the amount of time he was suppose to!

One of the days was crazy hair day! Ryan let me give him a mohawk for the day. He was going to keep it all week but then he won a coloring contest and was going to be in the newspaper. We shaved it off before he got his picture taken!
Jaydee wanted her hair to look like she couldn't decide what way she wanted it done that day. We did 1/2 in a braided pig tail and then left the other 1/2 down and all curly!

It was a fun week and really excites the kids about reading. We had to go to the public library every day that week to keep getting Jaydee books. The librarians were probably glad to see the week come to an end! We still keep them pretty busy though! It is one of our favorite places to visit!
