Each year the Conservation District holds a poster contest! I love to inspire my kids and their creativity so we decided that this year we were going to enter the contest. We looked up on the Internet what a habitat was and what it needed to be healthy! This is what the kids came up with:
Ryan drew his "future" house. He added trees and flowers which are good for the pollinators and provide shelter for small animals. He also added rain barrels to help conserve water!
Jaydee drew her idea of a dream backyard. In her healthy habitat she also included a rain barrel to conserve water, trees and flowers for the small animals, and a pond for her ducks. Being the deer lover that she is, she included her own "family" of deer!
Gage wasn't old enough to officially enter his poster but none the less he was quite proud of his house with a garden. Notice the garden is just brown. Apparently none of his plants have grown yet!
