So Spring Break for me started on Friday! I had grand plans for my Friday until Nate decided otherwise. He was fussy most of Thursday night and seeing how we were suppose to be going to Vegas on Sunday, I wasn't taking any chances. Sure enough, another ear infection. This time Dr. DePalma gave him a shot of antibiotics. It was the saddest thing. He didn't even flinch. Dr. DePalma couldn't believe it. She said she had never had a baby not cry with that shot because apparently it stings pretty good. I got the name and number for the Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. We have an appointment next week to see what he thinks about tubes. Not fun but if it will help get rid of the infections and get him sleeping through the night, I'm all for it!
Saturday afternoon my friend, Joni and I put on an Easter egg hunt at her house. We split the kids into 2 groups. 4 & under and 5 & older. For the older kids we added a bit of a challenge. We numbered the eggs 1 to 15, with the rule that they were suppose to find them in order. It was great! Their hunt actually took quite awhile and presented them with a challenge!
Grandma Harris came with us and was on Baby duty. She took care of Nate and Avery while Joni and I hid the eggs. Jaydee was stuck on the number 3 FOREVER! But once she found it, she was on a roll! She also found one of the Golden Eggs that was hidden super hard and had $1.00 in it!
Gage just had a great time picking up his 15 eggs. Grandma Harris walked around with him and they counted his eggs together! What a cheese ball....
Saturday afternoon we headed to Utah. We had Easter at Grandpa and Grandma Neilson's house. Ryan was so excited for the Easter Bunny to come that he was up around 3:30 in the morning and was sleeping on the couch with Aunt Haley when I found him around 5:00. I sent him back to bed. He didn't think he could sleep, but I think this picture tells another story!
The Easter Bunny was sneaky and hid everyone's basket. All of the kids had to search around the family room to find their special basket. Ryan found his behind the couch!
Petshops are the hot item around our house these days. The Easter Bunny must have been given a heads up because each of the kids received 2 sets of Petshops and bubbles!
Jaydee was excited to get a new kitty petshop as well as the Raccoon.
The bunny also filled all of the eggs we left out for him and hid them all over. The kids had a great time collecting them all and seeing what treasures were left in them.
Gage was excited to get a Bunny Petshop.
Nate's basket had a bunch of fun trucks for him and each kid got a bendy rabbit. I think I remember getting a couple of those in my day! Nate of course just likes to use his for a chew toy!

ROAD TRIP! So our friends Kevin and Jenny had mentioned going to Vegas for Spring Break and thinking that sounded like a great idea I invited us along. We had a full car with Scott, Kevin, Jenny, Nate, Madison, Haley and myself. We loaded up the Tahoe and headed out Sunday morning around 10:00! We got to Vegas around 5:00 but drove around forever trying to get to the Rio. We could see it but just couldn't get to it. What a joke!
There was so much to see. I've only driven through Vegas but never stayed. I couldn't believe how much there is to see. Here we are in front of the Mirage.

So Monday morning the guys went to get some breakfast. There was an oily residue coating the back of the Tahoe. This is how men and women think differently! The day before the guys went to check in and instead of just getting all of bags and going in together, they decided to go in and then were going to just come back when they were done. However, the valet guy was making fun of us girls, so we decided just to grab everything and make our way into the hotel. When we went to open the back of the Tahoe we noticed the oily residue and just figured we had driven through something that coated the Tahoe, not giving it a second thought. The guys however, realized that the transfer case, we had recently had patched, had leaked. The fluid had spewed out everywhere on our trip down. Scott called the Chevy dealership and thank goodness they could get it into the shop that day. Sure enough we had to replace 1/2 of the transfer case to the tune of $1200.00. That pretty much put a damper on the trip and took all of my slot money. But they were able to get it fixed and we were able to get home! While the guys were gone we jumped on the shuttle and headed to the Strip to see more of the sites. Here is Jenny and Haley in front of the Venetian.

Despite the car issues we had a great time. We got home Tuesday night. Another fun Spring Break has come and gone. A big thanks to my parents and Scott's parents for watching the kids while we were gone. They had alot of fun doing the Neilson Easter egg hunt and just hanging out! Now back to reality...
