Gage is turning 4 on the 30th and wanted to go to Outer Space! We got word that the aliens on Mars needed our help and there was a giant Asteroid headed to Earth! We made official Space Ranger T-Shirts and Jet packs for all of the kids so they could go to space with Gage and save the day!
When the kids first arrived they all received their official "space" shirt and jet pack. Space Commander Grandma briefed all of them at Mission Control and gave them their instructions!
Each jumped in the shuttle and blasted off to space ready to complete their missions. Space ranger Gavin shuttled up there a couple of times!
Once all of the Space rangers made it safely to the Space Station they were instructed that they were to blast off using their jet packs to head to the moon. The lab was in need of some special rocks found there. There were also rocks there that needed a good home and each was to pick one to take back to Earth them them!
The Moon was amazing! It was totally dark except for the "black" light that made everything white glow. (Not seen here due to the flash!) The special rocks the rangers were to mine glowed in the Space Crater. Once all rangers had their rocks, we blasted back to the Space Station!
Space Commander Grandma was anxiously awaiting the return of the rangers at the lab. Curious to know what was in the rocks, the rangers put their rocks in a special mixture (vinegar) and couldn't believe their eyes! (Amazing what baking soda and vinegar will do!)
When the rocks dissolved fun little moon craters (Poppers/Balls) appeared!
Next, the rangers got word that the scientists needed soil samples from Mars. They were to blast to the red planet and check out the soil. Once there they were told the the little green aliens were in need of space ships and it was up to the rangers to build them.
While Gage collected soil Space Rangers Ryan and Madison were busy building ships!
Space Ranger Gage saved the day for this little alien!
Once back from Mars, an alert was put out that a large asteroid was in the Milky Way headed straight for Earth. It was larger than the whole planet and it was up to the Rangers to save the day and destroy the Asteroid. They were to rescue any Alien or Planet that the Asteroid had taken with it! Tanner was determined to complete this mission!
After a very successful mission to Space, the Rangers returned to Earth to give the birthday boy his gifts and to eat lots of cake!
Thanks to Haley, Kelly, Mckady, Tanner, Xander, Grandpa Neilson, Grandma Neilson, & Miki for driving up from Utah to take the adventure with us!
Thanks Madison, Russell, Mackenzie, & Gavin for the coming and enjoying it with us!
And for all of you who are shaking your heads right now thinking "She's crazy", you are probably right! But after the party Gage said, "Mom, that was the best party, EVER!" and that is worth going crazy for! I love being a mom and I love my kids! I want them to have the same fun memories I have of my mom! Thanks mom for your example and your enthusiasm! I love you with all my heart. Also, thanks Scott for just shaking your head and letting me go with it! I love you!!!

Sounds like another raging success! I hope the "Space Mommy" got some down time afterwards! I know what you mean about the parties. What is a better thing to celebrate in a HUGE way, than your kids birthday!? And they will have these memories forever! You're an awesome mom. Although, I was disappointed that Scott didn't agree to dress up as a martian or Buzz Lightyear! LOL!
Seriously, you are the coolest Mommy EVER!! That is so cool.
